Learn about Norfolk's first settlements at Kingston ('Doun a Toun), nominated for World Heritage listing for its rich and diversified history.  'Doun a Toun' is the site of the beginning of each of Norfolk's settlements.  Experience a journey through time with a visit to the cemetery, ruins and convict-built buildings regarded as the most impressive collection of Georgian architecture in the southern hemisphere and still in community use today - living history!  Enjoy the stories of commandants, convicts and characters who played a part in Norfolk's convict history.

Tour of Helen Reddy’s home:

Learn about Helen Reddy’s career, and see some of her memorabilia.  Stroll through the ‘rooms’ of her amazing garden, discover the convict history of Helen’s property and her connections to Norfolk, and see a working aquaponics garden that is an example of what Helen would like to see in every home.

Progressive Dinner:

Enjoy the warm hospitality of two island families and learn about their life on Norfolk Island, and enjoy island foods.  Enjoy canapés, dinner and dessert and traditional island entertainment.  BYO if you wish, and there are carafes of wine provided with dinner.

Breakfast Bushwalk:

Discover the incredible scenic beauty of Norfolk Island's natural environment with a guide on a relaxing and informative one hour bush walk through the Norfolk Island National Park.  Learn about our unique eco-systems and endemic flora and fauna.  Arrive in time to enjoy a well deserved hearty cooked breakfast in the Park.

History in the Making:

Experience a journey back in time with local historian Arthur Evans.  Participate in recreating some of the tasks necessary for survival in Norfolk’s early settlements. Learn of the aftermath of the famous mutiny on the Bounty from one of the descendants and view a private collection of inherited family artefacts, some originating in Pitcairn Island.

Farm and Industry Tour:
Go behind tourism and see a selection of local industries – the island’s largest market garden, a state of the art Kentia Palm nursery that exports to Europe, a boutique sheep farm, and a liqueur and soft drink manufacturer – and taste test the liqueurs.

Island Fish Feast:

On a private clifftop enjoy a glass of wine and learn some of the Norf’k language. Then onto another private property to enjoy a traditional island fish feast featuring fresh local fish and dishes based on our Tahitian and Pitcairn heritage – anna, tatie bake, Tahitian fish, fried fish, curried fish, fresh garden salads and home cooked coconut bread.

Cyclorama:

One of Norfolk's most popular attractions, the Cyclorama is one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world and is based on an art form made popular in the 1800s.

Visitors walk inside a circular panoramic painting that portrays the history of the Norfolk Island people.  A spectacular 3D effect is achieved with detailed artwork and realistic perspective, creating an incredible illusion of reality for the viewer.
