All work and no play makes Jill…well, very un-groovy.

“Work Life Balance” is a modern day catch phrase we have all heard.
Back in the seventies about the importance of having recreation in our lives remember how we said things like “Chill Man” or “Peace”. The most important thing to remember is that there is no limit to the activities we can try, so get groovy and keep Loving Life to the full.

Fancy Dress Trivia

Every Wednesday night at our local pub is Trivia Night. For many years now, six of us have played at the same table but on two separate teams. Jack and Brett are The Blue Experience and Mark, Julie, Steve and I are Jack’s Rejects (so-called because Jack wouldn’t let us on his team). When we’ve had enough of driving it’s time to take a break, unpack the thermos, pull lazily into the next roadside stop.  Just like the pioneers of the Wild West, we pull our vehicles into a circle but luckily there’s no Indians attacking. Just the huge road trains burning noisily down the highway. The drivers don’t have time to join the circle. They’re to busy meeting deadlines.... Read more >>

Playing Golf

I took to playing golf several years ago. Playing mostly for the fun of it, and because it was something my husband and I could enjoy together. Initially I looked upon golf as being more about spending time with a group of friends, getting some exercise and enjoying being out in the fresh air and sunshine rather than seeing it as a competitive sport.

Mi Casa Su Casa - Our House is Beautiful

I love my house. I think it is beautiful. I love to be at home with my family, to lock ourselves away from the rest of the world. We think our home is very beautiful but we don’t go in for expensive department store furniture....Read more >>
